Just some more progress. It's looking good - about done for first block just need to carve out some inner flowers and take a proof.

Second round of updates on this card. Just a few pics showing the carving process on block one. Turning out well so far.

So I've finally gotten to sketching up an idea for this year's card. It's going to be a new forray for me. I plan to do a single color print with a blind deboss around it - using my new C&P Letterpress for both.

Very exciting! I've got ink, paper and all the widgets ordered to get it running, now I just need to focus on the cut.

First sketch

This is really meaningful this year and is in memory of my grandfather. It is a homage to traditional Hungarian design motifs."

Tracing my sketch. Trying a new way to convert the art to the block with year. Since I don't need overlayed color registration, figured I'd try to see how a straight trace and carbon paper transfer works."

After sizing blocks, I've centered and taped down the tracing over a sheet of carbon paper.

Looks ok so far. Now to the cut. Stay tuned!
